The short answer: Bonsai is a whole freelance business suite where proposals are one module. MyProposer is a proposal tool that carries the accepted proposal through to a quote and an invoice. If you need time tracking and project management, Bonsai wins on scope. If you already have those, you are paying for them twice.

Where they agree

Both are built for people working alone or in twos, not sales departments. Both do proposals, contracts and invoices. Neither is trying to be Salesforce.

What Bonsai is better at

Breadth, easily. Time tracking, tasks, projects, expenses, scheduling, a client portal, tax help in some regions. If you would otherwise buy three tools, one subscription at $19 per user per month is a fair deal and the proposals are a reasonable bonus.

Two things to check before you compare prices

Proposals are not in Bonsai’s $9 Basic plan — they start at Essentials, $19. And removing Bonsai branding needs Premium at $29. So the like-for-like number against a proposal tool is $19, or $29 if you want the document to look like yours.

What MyProposer is better at

The proposal itself. Paste rough notes and the AI drafts a structured proposal you edit. The client picks their package inside the link, watches the total update, and approves with their name and email. That accepted version becomes a quote and then an invoice on the same record without retyping. It is $6.99 flat, not per seat, for 100 documents every 30 days.

Who should choose which

Choose Bonsai if you want one subscription to run everything and do not mind that each part is good rather than best. Choose MyProposer if winning the work is the bottleneck and you already have a way to track time.

Where MyProposer fits

MyProposer is $6.99 a month for Pro, flat rather than per seat, covering 100 documents every 30 days across proposals, quotes, contracts and invoices. The Free plan is $0 for two of each every 30 days, with AI drafting, interactive quotes, e-signatures and the client CRM included. Every new account starts on 30 days of Pro automatically, no card.

It is a smaller product than the tools above — no team seats, no approval workflows, no Zapier or Salesforce integrations. See the plans or start free.
